Goodguys Summit Racing Lone Star Nationals fills Texas Motor Speedway October 2 and 3 with more than 2,500 rods, customs, classics, and muscle cars through 1999 plus a commercial vendor midway and swap meet corral. Gates run 8 AM to 5 PM both days, with autocross racing 9 AM to 4 PM and a one-hour noon break, Nitro Thunderfest exhibitions around 1 PM, and live music on the nostalgia stage. Families drift between the Fun Zone, Cars 4 Sale Corral, and hard-parts dealers while show cars rotate through the infield. Lunch demand spikes when the autocross break empties racers and spectators into the midway at once. Operators get two full daylight shopping days with densest snack traffic around noon and again after the 1 PM nitro runs.
